Project Summary

The Interns Australia website provides resources and support for students and employers to ensure the internship landscape in Australia is equitable and beneficial to everyone.

Through customer interviews and a UX Audit, it was found that the website was not met as the content was out of date and the information architecture was disorganised, making it difficult for visitors to find information.

The entire website was revamped to ensure that visitors were able to find up to date information that were relevant and useful.

Improved User Interface Design

The redesign ensured that the website was accessible and responsive to the device that it was being displayed on.

Reduced Hosting Costs

Reduced hosting fees by migrating the website content management system from Wordpress to Mobirise.

Improved Website Navigation and Ease of Use

Improved the information architecture of the website to ensure the content is organised in a way that makes it easy for visitors to find the information they are looking for.

The Process

01.

Customer Research & UX Review

Customer interviews were conducted via Google Meet to identify the requirements and issues they were experiencing. A current state UI/UX review of the website was also done to identify the pain points.

02.

Data Analysis & Synthesis

Data from the initial analysis and interviews were consolidated through a thematic analysis. This assisted with identifying the key requirements for the website and to recommend changes to mitigate their pain points.

03.

Prototyping and Content Creation

High and lo-fi prototypes were created initially on paper. These were iteratively designed and developed with the team based on their feedback. New copy and content was also created based on the review.

04.

Testing & Implementation

Once the design was finalised, the new website design was tested with the team to ensure all requirements were satisfied. Upon approval, the website was implemented using Filezilla and through the new CMS Mobirise.
